Colby Davis

During the pandemic, my weight climbed to over 300 pounds, driven by isolation and depression. I didn’t realize how much I had changed until work slowed down. In July 2020, I tried to start a fitness journey but quit after a week—it was just too hard, and I felt stuck.

The turning point came when my grandmother passed away. Seeing a photo of myself at her funeral made me realize I needed to change, even if it meant improving by just 1% each day. I started working out daily in August. Though I didn’t lose weight initially, I noticed better sleep, breathing, and heart rate, which reminded me that progress wasn’t just about the scale.

I shifted from seeking instant results to focusing on long-term goals. By October, I had lost 22 pounds and saw my body starting to change. In December, down 50 pounds, I shared my transformation on TikTok, hoping to inspire others.

I kept pushing, and by July 2021, I had lost 101 pounds, going from 320 to 219. It took discipline and consistency, but it was worth it. Now, four years later, at 25, I’ve kept the weight off and remain committed to being better than I was yesterday.
